That’s not to say the galaxy isn’t well represented here – you will get the feeling of saving a universe throughout your adventure as you travel from planet to planet, something not many titles get right.

LEGO and Star Wars have fit like a glove ever since the very first entry on the PS2 and that stays in place here – there’s something perfect about the way this colourful, dramatic sci-fi world (that in this entry takes itself a little too seriously) is kept in check by the goofy humour that Traveller’s Tales inject in all of their games. With that said, it’s still a rip-roaring adventure all the same that’s enjoyable on some level no matter what. On their quest to find Luke Skywalker, they’ll cross paths with old heroes such as General Leia and Han Solo and find themselves bonding with a lovable little robot called BB8 who seems to be the key uncovering the location of the galaxy’s only hope.Īs a film, The Force Awakens is deeply embroiled in the Star Wars mythology and that’s no different here – although the LEGO games attempt boil things down to the most important story beats and keep things family-friendly, there is an overwhelming sense of history here that may make it difficult for newcomers to fully dive in.
